Fire restoration
In order to assess actual fire damage, the object must be cleaned first (without causing further damage). This can be achieved with Gritco’s precisely controlled, low blasting pressure possibilities using ARMEX soft soda abrasive neutralizing fire and soot smell at the same time.
The right choice of abrasives
Effective cleaning of the object without affecting the surface is the key for this sector. ARMEX, the original baking soda based abrasive, does just that. As a bonus the ARMEX baking soda also deodorizes the area by leaving it there some time after blasting.
Gritco’s high quality blast pots
For the efficient and cost effective use of ARMEX, precise metering of abrasive and blast pressure is very important. For this Gritco has designed the MicroStrip machines with which also all other (fine) abrasives can be used.
Gritco’s aftercoolers
When using fine abrasives and especially with soda blasting media, dry compressed air is an absolute must. This prevents blockages in the blast pot and guarantees a constant metered flow. A cooler, possibly extended with filters, gives this dry air.
Gritco’s personal protection
The user must obviously be well protected against abrasive and dust. Because ARMEX is soft and friable and low blasting pressures are used, a blasting helmet is not immediately required. An airhood also provides adequate protection.
The right compressor
The simple fact, "more power = more work" also applies to the last part of the blasting chain, the compressor. With more air capacity you can work faster but because low blasting pressures are used the required compressor capacity is often between 850 and 3500 l/min.
